Biography

Frank was born in Sunderland. He was the son of John T. and Mary A. Mail. His father was a Steamship manager, a profession his eldest brother also went into. He had seven siblings, William Percy, Ethel Mary, Florence May, John Stanley, Marion Adamson, Muriel Adamson and Evelyn Marjory Adamson Mail.

Frank was commissioned into the Royal Field Artillery, 78th Brigade and later attained the rank of Second Lieutenant. He was killed in action on 9th October 1918 aged 24.
