John was the son of William Aaron (an accountant and shipping clerk) and Agnes Shield Headlam who lived in Whitby, Yorkshire.
John served as a Scout Pilot. He also attained the rank of Second Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force, 60th Squadron.
John died on 30th May 1918 aged 19.
